Are you looking to give your home a spring clean? We’re going to be giving you our tips and tricks when it comes to cleaning those doors in your home.

The front door of your home is arguably one of the most important components of your house. Not only adding vital security to your home but also enhancing the kerb appeal of your property.

Chances are that your front door will be the first thing a visitor will see upon visiting your home. Whether that is the postman, family members or just close friends. The most common entrance to a home is the front door, but does yours impress? Or does it need some spring cleaning?

Luckily for you, the Evesham Glass and Glazing team have bundled our heads together to create you the ultimate guide to cleaning the doors around your property.

Spring Clean Your Composite Door

  • You’ll need to start with a bucket of warm soapy water and a nice clean and a soft cloth.
  • Dip your cloth into your warm soapy water and begin to clean the frame of the door. Be sure to open the door to get into those hard to reach places. The dirt that builds up around the edges of the door frame can affect the opening and closing of the door.
  • Using a fresh cloth and bucket of warm water clean any glass that is on your door. Dry the glass with another dry cloth and apply household glass cleaner, wipe the glass cleaner off with some kitchen towel or newspaper to reduce smears.
  • Lastly clean your door handles, letter boxes and any other accessories with a microfibre cloth.

These four steps will help get your door looking as good as new! No fancy expensive products just some elbow grease, a bucket of warm soapy water and a few clothes and your good to go. We would recommend you doing this to your front door at least once a month to keep it looking as good as new.
